Northern Illinois was a hard sell, little interest, in racing but I
demo for one gentleman who only had an hour to play. He like the game
and has the cars and didn't know what to do with them. Well now he know
and he did take a flier. After he left I got lucky with three others who
wanted to race four cars each so we did.

The race started out with all the cars bunched up for the first lap
and then the fateful TI's showed up. Debris on track yellow flag. After
lap 2 the pack started to stretch with the last car fighting to stay on
the same lap as the leaders. On lap 6 Ramo Stott blows engine, the roll
for oil on track failed and yellow flag came out and everyone heads for
the pit for their pit stop. After the pits things are going fine until
43 spins out with most of the cars behind him. All make their control
roll to miss Petty except Fred Lorenzen hits Richard and cause them to
have to make a pit stop for repairs putting them out of the race. Last
lap comes down to a see-saw battle for first between Donnie Allison,
Elmo Langley and Tiny Lund of which Donnie Allison takes it after to min
roll by yours truly on turn 4.
